Our Staff Team
Our staff team at Del Ray UMC would love to welcome you to our community. Each member of our team is dedicated to bringing our unique backgrounds, education, and gifts to serve the congregation and community. We love working together to create a collaborative and fun ministry environment, and use our diverse gifts to be flexible to the varying ways God calls us to work here.
Pastor Arum joined the Del Ray church family in July 2023, along with her husband, Joon, and their two daughters, Virginia and Charlotte. She is passionate about building a church that welcomes people of all generations, where new disciples, both young and old, are continuously born, nurtured, empowered, and sent out to spread the gospel and share God's love. In her free time, Pastor Arum enjoys attending local festivals and events, traveling, and gardening.
Her favorite Scripture verse is 1 Corinthians 15:10a, "By the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me has not been in vain."
Laura recently joined us as our new Children’s Ministry Director. Having studied to teach, she’s served in various types of schools, led parks and recreation programming, homeschooled, and directed her own early childhood program for many years. An extrovert, she enjoys community-building, using her creativity, organic gardening, and exploring nature, especially with children and families, including her young sons, Isaiah & Ezra, and her college student daughter, Tatiana. She loves trying new foods, having adventures, learning new things, and visiting local parks and community events with her family.
Her favorite hymn is Seek Ye First, but her childhood favorite was Like a Sunflower.
Suji has been with DRUMC since March of 2019. In her free time, she likes to travel, hangout with friends, and spend time with her husband and two children.
Her favorite hymn is You Are Mine.
Ruri has been with Del Ray Church since January 2024. She is a positive and happy person with a caring husband and two lovely daughters. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family.
Her favorite hymn is 'I'm Rejoicing Night and Day.'
